Camp Fabulous

Camp Fabulous is a 7 day Christian camp for girls ages 7 to 17 who are looking to have a FABULOUS time learning about life in a Christian environment. Camp Fabulous will be held July 22-28, 2013 at Metro East Church of Christ (www.metroeastcoc.org)  in Jackson, MS from 7AM to 7PM. The cost for all 7 days is $125 plus a $25 application fee ($150 total). The $25 non refundable fee will secure your spot at Camp Fabulous! There are only 21 slots available this year. Because participants come from all over Mississippi and surrounding states, participants also have the option of staying overnight which most girls do each year. 

Registration is NOW open and ends May 1. But don't wait until then. Remember, there are only 21 slots available and I have already received 7 deposits already. It's going to be another Fabulous year at Camp Fabulous.

Camp Fabulous started in 2011 with 22 ladies from all around Mississippi, St. Louis, MO and Washington, DC. Now, Camp Fabulous is now in its 3rd year and will be more Fabulous than ever! The girls favorite part of camp is their big finale performance on the last day which is always on Sunday. We worship the Lord and His Son, Jesus Christ and then we host a Talent & Fashion Show to showcase to parents and the community what they have learned over the last 7 days. The girls also enjoys learning to jump double dutch, eating healthy meals and snacks, visiting the Capitol and the COFO Education and Civil Rights Center. Dr. Daphne Chamberlain, at Jackson State University's COFO Center, take the girls on a Civil Rights tour in Mississippi which includes visiting slain Civil Rights Leader Medger Evers' Home and The Smith Robertson Museum which was the first school for African Americans in the City of Jackson where the great writer Richard Wright studied at an early age. The 7-day path  is designed to guide, inspire, inform, instruct and prepare participants on how to improve the 7 key elements that leads to a fruitful, fulfilling and FABULOUS life! A Fabulous Life is a life focused on Jesus!

Participants will follow a daily agenda that focuses on increasing their faith, setting goals, developing gifts and talents, forgiving themselves and others, raising their self-esteem, and encouraging cooperation.

Day 1 begins with an opening session, orientation and ice breakers. Participants will attend various sessions throughout the camp that focuses on improving the 7 Key Elements that leads to a fabulous life. Participants will also take a civil rights tour of Mississippi to learn more about their history and culture during the camp. On day 7, participants will be initiated into Club Fabulous (if they meet all 7 criteria) and will host and participate in a fashion and talent show on Sunday after church. 

Over 21 successful women from the 3 largest Sororities (AKAs, Deltas, Zetas) coming from New York, Hollywood, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston to present on the following topics:
